homemade lemonade

I try to eat an overall healthy diet, I definitely have my off days so whenever I find a good recipe that is sweet and tart while still being healthy I always get a little excited. I made an original lemonade as well as a strawberry lemonade, while I would have tweaked the original lemonade recipe slightly, they were both quite delicious.

(tweaked) original lemonade

 

 

Ingredients:

1-1 1/2 cup lemon juice to taste

1 cup ice

3 tablespoons honey to taste 

1 liter water

2 packets of stevia

Instructions:

Blend lemon juice, water and ice. Sweeten with honey and stevia. Serve chilled. 

 

strawberry lemonade

Ingredients: 

about 2 cups whole fresh strawberries

1 cup ice

3 tablespoons honey to taste

1/2 cup lemon juice

1 liter water

1 packet stevia 

Instructions: 

Blend strawberries, water, ice and lemon juice. Sweeten with honey and stevia. Serve chilled.

you may or may not have seen/tried this recipe before but I'd highly recommend it, I will be making this a lot more often.

due to the fact that I am starting fresh with my blog, i'm going to have to go back a full year to document mine and landon's adventures. I will do them sporadically, not in any special order. 

today i am starting with our most recent road trip to Saint George with some of our bests. Mary and Codie have family that own a condo there so we all decided to take a few days off of work and go relax. with no schedule in line we'd wake up whenever we'd like and go to sleep once our eyes couldn't stand being open. late night games, a quick night trip to vegas and lots of swimming, we are now home and geared up for the week ahead. 

Thanks to mary and codie for giving us an excuse to get away for a while, we had a blast!

i have mini battles in my head on the daily about starting up this little blog of mine again. its just kind of funny because after i decide to make a commitment i end up sitting here, blank faced looking at my computer. i literally cannot think of anything to write about or i think way too hard because i feel like you have to be a good writer to have a blog. but, in reality that is far from the truth and i'm just being blinded by some blogs out there that make me feel like i've accomplished nothing in my 22 years of life (although, i still read them on a daily basis..with out fail).

so here i am, i'm back with the idea of documenting the life of landon and i. there will be many run on sentences, paragraphs that dont make sense and lots of pictures that will most likely bore you while including the good, the bad and the ugly (some pretty too) of what marriage brings. because for me and my family, this is us.
